Products

Each piece is uniquely crafted by hand.

Due to their handmade nature, there may be slight variations in colour, design and style compared to the product listing photos. Any imperfections in your earrings are what make each pair special.

Before your new earrings reach you, they have gone through a labour of love, from mixing the colours, rolling the clay, applying any patterns or textures, baking, sanding and assembly.

Lightweight

Looks can be deceiving. While polymer clay earrings can look like they will be heavy on your ears, they are actually very lightweight, making it easy to wear them all day.

Metal components

The earrings posts we use are nickel and cadmium free, made with a raw titanium post and 430 stainless steel pad, while butterfly backings are 430 stainless steel.

We use 430 stainless steel as it has no nickel in it. This also means it meets the EU Nickel Directive, which limits the amount of nickel released from products that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin.

This makes our earrings great for sensitive ears and those with nickel allergies.

If you have any special requests (colour, patterns, styles etc) get in touch with us and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note the price of custom orders may vary depending on complexity.

Wholesale

If you are interested in stocking Speckel earrings in your store, please contact us to discuss.

Returns/Exchanges

If you have an issue with your purchase, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will replace or refund faulty products, however change of mind returns are not possible for hygiene reasons.

Shipping

We currently only ship within New Zealand. Shipping rates are:

• ParcelPost (tracked) $5

• Rural (tracked) $9

Free shipping is available on all orders over $40 when you enter SHIPFREE at checkout.

Orders will be shipped every Monday unless otherwise arranged.

We will send you tracking information once your purchase has been shipped.

Please note that once we have handed your package for delivery, we are not responsible for any packages damaged or lost in transit.

Care instructions

To keep your earrings in good condition we suggest the following:

Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight

Don't wear in water

Attach your earrings after applying hair styling products, makeup or perfume to avoid staining

If dropped or bent your earrings may break or become damaged

Rubbing alcohol or acetone nail polish remover can be used to gently clean any marks

We aim to reduce waste in every part of our business.

This includes the use 100% recycled cardboard and 100% recycled courier bags in our packaging. The recycled bags can be reused or recycled again at a soft plastics recycling location.

We aim to maximise use of the clay when cutting the shapes, but will save all scrap pieces, which will be mixed into new colours and reimagined into new limited edition earrings.
